Rooted equally in both workwear and suiting - the Tenkan Wool Blouson draws inspiration from 1920’s Drizzler Jackets, as well as 90’s suiting and sportswear. Cut from Super 120 Suiting Wool and a suiting inspired Cupro lining, the full zip jacket features an articulated sleeve and shoulder, a double pendant zipper, as well as double entry pockets.
“Tenkan” in Japanese translates to a diversion of change of direction, referring to a pivot step in Martial Arts (Akido). We interpret this as a subversion of expectation in design inspiration, namely for this piece drawing cues from the world of tailoring.

A seasonal addition to our newly retooled “Henka” shirting program, the Double Pocket Work Shirt features a dual chest patch pockets, a pointed collar, and pleated articulation throughout. The shirt is finished with our signature triple stitched details and ring snap buttons
Inspired by 90’s menswear and sportswear, the shirt is cut from a specially blended Tencel / Wool twill which has a naturally cool hand feel, and a substantial soft “bounce” which flows with natural movement.
Translating to “change” or “transformation” - our Henka shirting program derives its namesake for an adaptive transition of a technique or form in Martial Arts, linking to our modular approach to shirting design.

Part of our “Kuzushi Work Suit” ensemble, the relaxed fit trouser is comprised of garment dyed, 100% cotton woven Sashiko. Equally inspired by both martial arts, workwear, and military surplus pants, they feature a relaxed fit with slight barrel leg, a single front pleat, a hidden elastic waistband and mismatched fatigue back pockets.
Uniquely garment dyed for subtle, natural variation, each garment carries its own character true to HELD IN FORM design ethos.
Fit Update: We’ve updated the Kuzushi Work Trouser fit with a slightly wider leg opening for an overall more relaxed silhouette.

Our iteration of the classic 5 Pocket Pant. Made of 100% cotton woven Sashiko, the fabric is then overdyed with 100% natural indigo. After assembly, it is then given a gentle one wash process to reveal the uniquely vibrant tones hidden in the indigo.
